ISIS – the Vision Healing technique of Regression,
Past Life Therapy
ISIS is a powerful technique of past-life therapy (PLT)
and multi-level self-exploration, developed in the
1980's by Dr Samuel Sagan.
The ISIS acronym stands for 'Inner Space
Interactive Sourcing':
- Interactive, because the technique involves
a client and a facilitator,
- Inner Space refers to a transpersonal space
of consciousness contacted through the area of the
forehead, and similar to meditation experiences,
- Sourcing, because ISIS deals with the deep
unconscious roots of emotional blockages, thereby
bringing real and lasting resolution.
The specificity of ISIS, which does not involve any
visualizations or hypnosis, lies in the awesome
clarity of the recalls. Clients don't just have
mental recollections of events, as in some slide
show. They actually re-experience full
sensory packages, feeling themselves in a different
body, with all accompanying sensations. As a result,
deep hidden emotional charges are released, leading
to unsuspected inner freedom and clarity.
Believing in past lives is in no way a prerequisite
in order to undergo ISIS sessions. Actually, the
less beliefs and preconceptions in the client, the
easier it will be to reach the ISIS state. And with
ISIS, the precision of past life recollections is
such that even clients with strong materialistic
belief systems are left with little doubt as to the
reality of what they are experiencing.
In many ways it could be argued that as long as one
hasn't had one of these full blown experiences,
philosophically debating the existence of past lives
is a complete waste of time.
This being said, the emphasis of ISIS is on
the present.
With ISIS the purpose is never to explore past lives
for the sake of past lives, but to clear present
emotional blockages. This may or may not lead to
re-experiencing past life or early childhood
episodes.
In practice
An ISIS session lasts on average between 50 and 90
minutes. The frequency of the sessions is in the
order of one per week, or one every two weeks.
During a session the client lies comfortably on a
mattress with his/her eyes closed, with the
facilitator sitting by his/her side.
At the beginning of the session, the facilitator
induces the ISIS state in the client by giving a set
of instructions. The client enters a deep inner
space, comparable to a meditation state.
Through a subtle combination of dialogue and inner
vision, the ISIS experience unfolds.
Clients remain in control at all stages of the
process. In particular, they can discontinue an
experience at any moment, simply by opening their
eyes and finding themselves back in the practice
room.
Experience with thousands of clients has shown that,
in the profound meditative state that characterizes
ISIS, catharsis flows in an non traumatic way.
Clients reach a level of 'soul fluidity' in which
they aren't adversely affected by the content of the
episodes which they re-experience. If anything, they
feel immense relief at emptying the garbage bins of
the mind.
Even though very safe, ISIS is a delicate process
that should be undertaken only with the guidance of
a fully-trained and accredited Vision Healing
practitioner.
